Great initiative with already a good set of tutorials and compilation of tools, and potentially an active community.

In this post there are 22 well written tutorials that will teach you techniques for designing your own icons using various tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop.

 

There are specialized terms referring to all sorts of aspects of web design. For someone just getting started in web design, or someone looking to have a site designed, all the technical jargon can be overwhelming. Especially the acronyms.

My hope is to show people that feel CSS challenged that you don’t need to be an artist, know how to draw or even just pick colors, and certainly you don’t need to know how to use Photoshop to be able to come up with a nice, clean, readable and original layout.

Being a developer, I found this article really refreshing; as even after reading books and posts on CSS, and written several CSS sheets from scratch, I still speak CSS with a strong accent. And I also found useful this help on how to spot quality within web design.

Quality is a word that a lot of people like to use when describing their web design services. But what is quality, how do you know if a design is quality or not. Well, I think that there’s quite a few ways to spot quality within web designs.
