Santa Cruz has won plenty of accolades for surfing, from Surfer magazine's pick of top U.S. surf town to its well recognized, if not legal, claim to moniker "Surf City."

One more distinction, which some say rides above all others, may soon endow the area's breaks. The coastline between Natural Bridges State Park and Pleasure Point is on the short list for being registered as a World Surfing Reserve.

A group of Aussies are paddle surfing waves around Nusa Island, remote island of Papua New Guinea. Did not watch it yet (ordered it few days ago), but the film seems pretty cool as around some everyday SUP dudes having fun in an amazing location. We're finally getting the Google Voice iPhone app. I just installed it. The app is straightforward and way more integrated into the iPhone user experience than the previous Google Voice apps made by independent developers. In the same time, I was happy and provided my money to those apps as providing an interim solution.

Taking advantage of the new Twitter List feature, I just created a hacking list focusing on relevant programmer news, from architecture to coding, including high scalability systems and a dose of cloud computing. I tried to avoid including "people" with too much noise or tech news style. For such lists, I would recommend scobleizer lists: you can not find more exhaustive lists than his!.

This list is going to evolve by adding or removing "people" based on noise level and technical relevancy. Any feedback or suggestions is welcome!
